The WWI Show Scanner ("the App") is an internal lead-capture tool used by WhiteWater West Industries and its Vantage division by authorized sales staff at trade shows. This policy explains what information the App handles and why. The App is a business tool for WhiteWater/Vantage personnel and is not intended for the general public.
Information the App handles
- Salesperson account data — your username, full name, and business unit, used to sign you in and associate the leads you capture with you.
- Captured leads — when you scan an attendee's event badge, the App retrieves that attendee's profile from the event's official lead-retrieval provider (for example, MCI Plus Lead). This may include name, company, job title, email address, phone number, mailing address, and the attendee's responses to event survey questions.
- Lead details you add — the contact type (lead or touchpoint), business unit, urgency, and any free-text notes you record about a lead.
Camera
The App uses your device camera solely to scan attendee badge QR/barcodes. Camera images are not stored or transmitted — only the decoded badge value is sent, and only to look up the corresponding lead.
How the information is used
- To capture, organize, and follow up on sales leads gathered at trade shows.
- To route qualified leads into WhiteWater's and Vantage's customer-relationship- management (CRM) systems.
How the information is shared
- With the event's official lead-retrieval provider, to look up the attendee associated with a scanned badge.
- With WhiteWater and Vantage internal CRM systems, to manage captured leads.
We do not sell personal information.
Storage and security
Data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and stored on servers controlled by WhiteWater/Vantage. Access to captured leads is restricted to the salesperson who captured them and to authorized administrators.
Data retention
Lead data is retained for legitimate business purposes related to the relevant trade show and resulting sales activity, and may be deleted in accordance with company data-retention practices.
